The End

This year has been an enjoyable experience, allowing me to work with a team, and over come obstacles. Also recognising and following a production pipeline, successfully and professionally. Our group worked well together and used the team blog frequently to help each other and problem solve. Being one of two directors gave me the responsibility to manage the group as a whole and make key decisions to insure the films production progress. This year has been a good learning curve for me and has highlighted areas of strength and weakness along the way. In the future I will be developing my 2d design skills and 3d modelling as these are my stronger areas and ones that I most enjoy. Hopefully with enough experience I will be able to focus on a career within the entertainment industry.

Compositing the outside shots for the film and rendering most of it at home. Not many shots are featured outside so this is achievable.

Rendering

At the moment we are rendering and compositing shots. We have about 40% of the shots rendered but still have alot to do. Taking each day as it comes and attempting to tweak lighting and camera angles so each scene file is ready to send to the render farm.

Animation

So far I've attempted to animate my shots. Personally I'm not very good or comfortable animating but willing to give it a go to get the film finished. If we had more time these animations could be improved but they will have to do for now.

After Effects Motion Tracking

The cloud layer was causing some problems and moved out of time with the foreground. I attempted to use the motion tracker in after effects and after a few tries I fixed the problem. I tracked the movement of the motel layer and matched it to the cloud layer.
